Compared with other lamps, LED lamps have outstanding advantages: energy saving, long life, green environmental protection. However, the quality of LED lamps varies greatly, and consumers do not know how to choose? In view of the current vicious competition in the market price of flat panel lamps, the listing of a large number of substandard products (inferior goods and bad goods) has violated LED energy saving, long life, environmental protection and other real values, contrary to the significance of applying LED technology to the field of integrated ceiling, and seriously affect the healthy development of integrated ceiling LED panel lights. How to distinguish the advantages and disadvantages of LED lamps mainly depends on the following aspects:
1. Look at the overall “power factor of the lamp”: a low power factor means that the driving power supply and circuit design used are not good, which will greatly reduce the service life of the lamp, and the power factor is low. .
The power factor can be detected with a “power factor meter”! Generally, the power factor of exported LED lamps is required to be above 0.85. If the power factor is lower than 0.5, it should be said that unqualified products or waste products not only have a short lifespan, but also the actual power consumption is about twice as high as the nominal value. That is to say, compared with ordinary energy-saving lamps, it does not save electricity at all! So, this is why LED lamps need to be equipped with high-quality, high-efficiency drive power!
For consumers who do not have a “power factor meter”, another method is to use an “ammeter” to detect two similar products with the same nominal power. The less electricity is saved! At the same time, the current is unstable, which is not good for the life of the lamp beads and the life of the overall lamp!
2. Look at “lamp heat dissipation conditions – material and structure”: LED lamps heat dissipation is also very important. Lamps with the same power factor and lamp chip of the same quality, if the heat dissipation conditions are not good, the lamp chip work at high temperatures, and the light decay will occur. Very large, the lamp life will be reduced.
At present, the main heat dissipation materials used are copper, aluminum, and PC. Sheet aluminum, car aluminum (aluminum profile, extruded aluminum) is second, cast aluminum is the worst, and the heat dissipation effect of insert aluminum is the best!
If you use air convection to dissipate heat, you must deal with the insulation problems of circuits and power supplies. Otherwise, the lamps work in a relatively humid environment, which is prone to short circuit and cause safety accidents!
3. Look at the “quality of lamp chip”: the quality of lamp chip depends on chip quality and packaging technology.
Chip brands are divided into three camps:
The first camp is the manufacturers represented by Europe, America and Japan, mainly including Cree, Osram, Nichia, Toyoda Gosei, etc.;
The second camp is the manufacturers represented by the United States, South Korea, and Taiwan, China, including Purui, Xuming, Seoul, Jingyuan, Taigu, Guangjia, New Century, etc.;
The third camp is represented by domestic manufacturers, mainly including Sanan, Diyuan, Blu-ray, Silan Mingxin, Lumei and so on. The quality of the chip determines the brightness and light decay of the lamp chip. Good lamp chip not only have high luminous flux, but also have small light decay.
4. Look at the driving power supply used by the lamp. The service life of the power supply is much shorter than that of other parts of the lamp. The life of the power supply affects the overall life of the lamp. The theoretical life of the lamp bead is 50,000-100,000 hours, while the service life is between 0.2 and 30,000 hours. The design and material selection of the power supply will determine the service life of the power supply.
5. Look at the light effect: the same lamp chip power, the higher the light effect, the higher the brightness, the same lighting brightness, the smaller the power consumption, the more energy-saving.
6. Look at the power efficiency. The higher the power efficiency, the better. The higher the power, the smaller the power consumption of the power supply itself, and the greater the output power.
7. Whether it meets the safety standards? my country’s LED lamps safety standards have been introduced, please choose LED lamps according to the national safety standards.
8. Is the workmanship fine?
A good quality LED lamp, in addition to the main aspects mentioned above, also has different technical requirements according to different use environments, such as moisture-proof, dust-proof, anti-magnetic, anti-lightning and so on.
In short, a high-quality LED lamp is a perfect combination of high-quality driving power, good heat dissipation conditions, high-quality (chip) lamp chip, and compliance with safety standards! Only emphasizing any one side can not be called a qualified products!
